Where-To | Sophiasburgh & Demorestville

Sophiasburgh, it’s Northernmost side edging the Bay of Quinte shoreline, includes Demorestville, Big Island, Northport and Green Point, with the Skyway Bridge connecting into Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

These diverse communities include artists and farmers, winemakers, beekeepers, fermentation masters and ice-fisherpeople (as well as regular ones!) It’s lovely country living and a beautiful driving adventure, complete with the County anthem serenading you and stopping at stacked roadside stalls carrying an array of diverse and delish goods.

We’ll keep working to make sure these neighbourhood directories are as complete as possible, but remember—Ontario’s current travel restrictions and the pace and rhythm of the County means that hours change, new businesses pop up and old ones evolve. Always check in before dropping by!
